Family of Origin, Self-Differentiation, and the Self-Efficacy of College Students

Abstract

|
The purpose of this study was to investigate relationships among measures of family of origin, self-differentiation, and self-efficacy. Participants included 84 male and 286 female college students in Jeollabuk-do province. The data were collected by a self-administered questionnaire. Results indicated a significant positive correlation between family of originand both self differentiation and self-efficacy. Multiple regression analyses demonstrated that differentiation of self was the most powerful predictor of self-efficacy.
